Following your bodies intution

It is true that we tend to seek comfort in familiarity though it may not benefit us.

We are creatures of habit and often seek habits with an easy dopamine release.

This begins to identify the state of which our body is in.

Throughout time the average person lives in an ever-enduring state of survival, often only aware of one or two steps ahead of them and thus seeking the quickest and easiest way to feel better.

This, I presume does not identify as following the bodies intuition though it is an inner feeling driving the decision.

Is it a conscious decision? Seems to me to identify as an unconscious decision from a place of wounding or survival. In Ayurveda there is a term described as "The mistake of intellect"; Becoming Wounded and in a state of survival is likely prevalent in most beings, as the average individual endures some sort of trauma as a part of growing up.

We live in quite a dualistic and complex world and though trauma is not the most fun thing it does have the ability to create character and actually often becomes the thing that drives the individual to humble themselves and care for their community in some way.

It is not a surprise that things like nicotine, alcohol, cellphone usage and screen time in general have become an easy way to allocate funds and an exceptional amount of wasted time.

Marketing and ease of accessibility curate a recipe for most of our generation to be addicted to one or the other.

First we must become aware of this intrinsic cycle of self-deprecating behavior and thus educate one's self on the matter, which congratulations if you are reading this then you are likely going in the right direction to find substantial healing and thus get out of the rat race to enliven your bodies true inner capacity to not only heal but reach new levels of accomplishment and liveliness you may not have thought was possible.

So, we've identified that the first step is becoming aware of the cycle.

Getting really honest about where you are and the things that need to be let go of is the first step.

It is rarely wise to quit things cold turkey but to simply identify that which needs to be eradicated I ask you to ask yourself when communicating with the world around you if this activity, behavior or thing you are ingesting is bringing harmony or disharmony. Is it making the waters mucky so you cannot see clearly thus blocking the bodies intuition and feeding into the cycle you are trying to get out of or is it bringing clarity and expansion.

For example, is waking up and hitting your vape right away or checking your phone allowing for your brain to fully become present with the day or are you further feeding the brain pattern towards unconscious decision making?

Western medical health care on average brings in BILLIONS of dollars a year and the numbers only continue to rise. Why is this you may ask? Well, getting people to change their daily habits is like asking a child to give up the toy in their hand. You have to want to make the change, and it likely means giving up the thing you wish not to the most.

I've got good news though, our brain is elastic, its plasticity shows that we are extremely adaptable beings and that we have the ability to change our brain's chemistry in a rather short amount of time, I am sure you've heard that it takes on average 21 days to curate a new habit, I heard it explained once that it's like going through a corn field with a machete to create a path, at first it is difficult but over time it becomes easier and easier. This gets into the idea of flow state wherein the activity feels automated and natural and curates a lasting sense of stable satisfaction that curates long term well-being and resilience.

I encourage you to get intentional about your days, to sit with a journal and plan out what makes you feel alive, what gives you energy to keep going. Then identify what may be holding you back and take small steps each day to bring equilibrium to the body and feed the source of our intuition to then tune our ears to hear.

How can we soften our hearts and relax our nervous systems, these are questions we may ask ourselves on a daily basis while in communication with God so that we may reach new levels of clarity and insight.
